PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Lash Pre-Care: Preparing for Your Beautiful New Lashes

To ensure the best results and longevity for your lash extensions, please follow these important steps before your appointment:

  1. Arrive with Clean Lashes:
Make sure your lashes are completely free of makeup, mascara, and oils.
    • If your lashes are dirty (makeup buildup) upon arrival, Kerry will need to perform a Lash Bath, which will reduce your infill time and incur a £6.50 fee on top of your infill cost.
    • Lash Baths typically take 10–30 minutes, depending on the level of buildup.
  2. If you’re unsure how to clean your lashes properly, please contact Kerry—she’ll be happy to guide you!
Alternatively: You can book a Lash Bath alongside your infill appointment to ensure you get your full infill time and beautifully clean lashes.
  3. Avoid Water After Your Treatment:
Your lashes need 48 hours to set, so plan ahead! Washing your hair the night before or on the day of your appointment is recommended to avoid getting them wet afterward.
  4. Contact Lens Wearers:
If you wear contact lenses, they must be removed during the treatment and avoided for 24 hours afterward. Please bring your glasses to your appointment.
  5. Check for Sensitivities:
If you’ve experienced a reaction to lash extensions in the past or have any concerns, please contact Kerry immediately before your appointment to discuss your options.

To ensure the best results and avoid irritation, please follow these important pre-care instructions before your appointment:

Waxing

  • Arrive Makeup-Free: Please come to your appointment with no makeup on the treatment area.
  • Avoid Water After Your Treatment: The waxed area must stay dry for 24 hours to prevent irritation.
  • Skip Makeup and Products: No makeup or facial products should be applied to the waxed area for 24 hours post-treatment.

Important Note About Skin Treatments:

  • If you’re using prescription skincare creams (e.g., tretinoin), you must stop using them for at least 1.5 weeks before your waxing appointment.
  • If you’ve had dermaplaning, wait at least 1 week before waxing.
  • After a chemical peel:
    • Non-TCA peels: Wait at least 2 weeks.
    • TCA peels: Wait at least 6 weeks.

Tinting

  • Patch Test Required: A patch test is mandatory for all tinting treatments at KerryM. This must be done 48 hours before your appointment. Please book your patch test if you haven’t already.
  • Arrive Makeup-Free: Ensure your lashes or brows are free from makeup upon arrival.
  • Keep the Area Dry After Your Treatment: Avoid getting your brows or lashes wet for 24 hours to allow the tint to set properly.
  • No Makeup or Products: Avoid applying makeup or facial products to your brows or lashes for 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Contact Lens Wearers: If you’re having a lash tint, please remove your contact lenses before the appointment and refrain from wearing them for 24 hours after the treatment.

These guidelines help to protect your skin and achieve the best results. If you have any questions or are unsure about your suitability for treatment, feel free to reach out before your appointment—I’m here to help!

To achieve the best results and ensure your lashes stay healthy, please follow these important pre-care instructions:

Before Your Lash Lift

  1. Arrive Makeup-Free: Ensure your lashes are clean and free from makeup, oils, or residue. This helps the lift process work effectively.
  2. Patch Test Required: If you’re new to lash lifts or tinting, a patch test is required at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please book this in advance.
  3. Contact Lens Wearers: Remove contact lenses before your appointment and avoid wearing them for 24 hours after your lash lift.
  4. Avoid Waterproof Mascara: Refrain from using waterproof mascara or lash serums for 24 hours before your appointment, as they can leave a residue that interferes with the lifting process.

Additional Tips

  • Avoid Caffeine: Refrain from consuming caffeine on the day of your appointment. It can cause eye twitching, which may make the process more difficult.

Brow Artistry Tattooing Pre-Treatment Instructions & What to Expect

To ensure you receive the most beautiful, long-lasting results from your Brow Artistry experience, please read the following pre-care guidelines carefully. These apply to all appointments, including consultations, first treatments, follow-ups, and colour boosts.

Consultation + Patch Test Appointment (Duration: 1 Hour)

✔ Please arrive with no makeup on your brows. If you do have any on, it will be removed so I can assess the natural state of your brows and take clear photos.

✔ Bring reference photos or inspiration of the brow style you’d love — this helps us co-create your ideal shape and look. I’ll guide you on what’s achievable.

✔ Come prepared with any questions — I’m here to walk you through the full journey from start to finish.

✔ If you’re happy to proceed with a treatment plan, a £50 booking fee will be required to secure your treatment slot. This is non-refundable under any circumstance and acts as payment for my time during our consultation and patch test.

✔ Payment options:

  • Remaining balance due on treatment day via cash or bank transfer

  • If using Clearpay, this must be applied for at least 48 hours before your treatment day. If not accepted, another payment method must be arranged to keep your booking.

Your 1st Brow Artistry Treatment (Duration: Up to 3 Hours)

Avoid alcohol, recreational drugs, caffeine (tea/coffee) on the day of your treatment, as this can increase bleeding and reduce pigment retention.

Eat a light meal 1–1.5 hours before your appointment to support your energy and blood sugar levels.

✔ Please wash your hair the night before or morning of your treatment — you will not be able to wet your brows until the scabs naturally fall off. (I will supply a brow shield for showering, but this is not 100% waterproof.)

Do not plan a holiday or major event within 4–6 weeks after treatment. Healing time varies and you must avoid direct sun, swimming, saunas, steam rooms, facials, heavy sweating, and brow makeup until your brows are fully healed (typically 4+ weeks).

No makeup on the brow area before or after the procedure until healed.

✔ I’ll provide sweet treats and drinks to keep you comfy — we take our time, this is not a rushed experience. You’re in safe, loving hands.

6-Week Follow-Up or Colour Boost Appointment (Duration: 1.5 Hours)

✔ Follow the same pre-care as the first treatment (no caffeine, alcohol, or heavy exercise beforehand).

✔ This session is essential to refine and perfect your brows, adding strokes or adjusting any areas as needed once we see how your skin has healed.

✔ Or this is your colour booster, which gives you a refresh to your brows.

✔ Full aftercare guidance will be provided again.

SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL – PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS & WHAT TO EXPECT

To make sure your removal experience is as effective, safe, and comfortable as possible, please read these pre-care details carefully. These instructions apply whether you’re having brow removal, or a small body tattoo treated. Following them gives us the best chance of lifting the pigment and keeping your skin happy.

CONSULTATION + PATCH TEST APPOINTMENT (Duration: 1 Hour)

✔ Please come with the area clean and free of makeup, SPF, oils, or creams.
✔ If it’s brow removal: no brow pencil, powder, or tint.
✔ For body tattoos: make sure the area is easily accessible and not irritated.

✔ Bring photos or info about when and where you had the tattoo done. If possible, let me know what pigment/ink was used (don’t worry if you don’t know — I’ll still assess it).
✔ Come with your questions — nothing is too big, too small, or too weird. I’m here to guide you.
✔ I’ll assess your skin, do a patch test if needed, and we’ll chat through how many sessions you may need and what results you can realistically expect although never guaranteed.
✔ If you’re ready to book, a £25 non-refundable booking fee secures your treatment slot. This covers the consultation, patch test, and time spent together.

YOUR SALINE REMOVAL TREATMENT (Duration: Up to 1 Hour)

No alcohol, caffeine (tea/coffee), or recreational drugs for 24–48 hours prior.
These thin the blood and can cause excessive bleeding, irritation, and poor healing.

Eat a light meal 1–1.5 hours before your appointment.
Don’t come on an empty stomach — we need your blood sugar stable and you feeling good.

Avoid taking aspirin or blood thinners in the days leading up to treatment unless prescribed by your GP. Always check with your doctor if unsure.

Do not use retinol, glycolic acid, or exfoliants on the area for 4 weeks before.

Avoid sunburn or tanning the area.
Tanned or damaged skin cannot be treated safely, and your appointment will need to be rescheduled.

No heavy workouts, saunas, or steam rooms for 48 hours before treatment.

Please wash the area beforehand.
You won’t be able to wet the area after treatment until your scab has completely and naturally fallen off (this is part of the healing magic).

No makeup, SPF, fake tan, or skincare products on the treatment area.

Wear comfy clothes — especially for body tattoos, loose clothing is best to avoid friction.

No holidays or major events for at least 4 weeks after treatment.
You must avoid sun, swimming, sweating, and moisture on the area until it’s fully healed.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE EXPERIENCE

✔ The treatment may cause redness, tenderness, swelling, and pinpoint bleeding — this is normal.

✔ You may feel a stinging, tight, or hot sensation in the area after your treatment. I’ve got everything here to support you.

A scab WILL form — this is part of the process. Do not pick it. Let it heal and fall off naturally.

✔ The area might look ugly, crusty, uneven, and a little gross before it gets better. This is completely normal. It’s not Instagram pretty — it’s real, raw healing.

✔ Depending on the pigment, location, skin type, and tattoo depth, you may need 1–7 sessions. We’ll space sessions out with at least 8 weeks between them.

✔ Healing can take up to 2 weeks or longer for some — trust your body’s timing.

NO creams, cleansers, or ointments unless I’ve specifically told you to. This is dry healing all the way — let the body do what it’s designed to do.

IMPORTANT: CANCELLATIONS & PATCH TESTS
✔ If you cancel or no-show without 48hrs notice, your £25 booking fee will not be refunded.
✔ If you are ill, message me on WhatsApp: 07742 766955 — we can reschedule.

AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Lash Aftercare: Keeping Your Lashes Beautiful

To keep your lashes looking flawless and lasting as long as possible, follow these simple but essential steps:

  1. Avoid Water for 48 Hours

For the first two days after your treatment, keep your lashes dry. Avoid:

  • Showering or bathing where your lashes might get wet.
  • Swimming, saunas, or steam rooms.
  • Facials, sunbeds, spray tans, and excessive sweating.

Why? Water can cause:

  1. Shock curing, where the glue dries too fast and breaks down, causing lash loss.
  2. Lashes sticking together painfully, requiring removal and a full new set at your expense.
  1. Brush Your Lashes Daily
  • Brush your lashes every morning and whenever they get wet.
  • Use a clean lash brush and gently brush on top of your lashes to keep them neat and tangle-free.
  1. Wash Your Lashes 3x Per Week
  • Use a lash-safe cleanser to remove dirt, oils, and buildup.
  • Wet your lashes and brush, then gently wiggle the brush at the base of your lashes and roll downward.
  • Repeat on both eyes.

Drying Tip: Use a small towel to gently press and pull back over your lashes. Let them air dry before brushing again.

  1. Avoid Oils at All Costs

Oils can break down the glue and shorten the life of your lashes.

  • Avoid any oily makeup or skincare products unless they specifically say “oil-free.”
  • Invest in oil-free products for better results.
  1. Things to Avoid with Your Lashes
  • No Mascara (oil-free mascara is okay for bottom lashes only).
  • No lash curlers, perms, or lifts.
  • No tinting your extensions.
  • No rubbing, twisting, or plucking—it can damage your lashes and transfer oils from your hands.
  • Avoid heat: Prolonged exposure to saunas, steam rooms, or even kitchen steam (from hobs or ovens) can loosen the glue, straighten volume lashes, or cause sticking.
  • Sunbeds & Spray Tans: Safe after 48 hours—be cautious with oily tanning products.
  • Facials: Choose treatments that avoid oils and don’t touch your lashes.
  1. Beware of Lint

Lint can wrap around your lashes and be impossible to remove! Avoid:

  • Baby wipes, cotton pads, tissues, or any fiber-based material near your lashes.

By following these tips, you’ll enjoy gorgeous, long-lasting lashes without com

Aftercare for Brow Waxing & Tinting

To maintain the best results and protect your skin and brows, please follow these aftercare instructions carefully:

Waxing

  • Keep the Area Dry: Avoid water on the waxed area for 24 hours to prevent irritation or infection.
  • No Makeup or Products: Do not apply facial cosmetics, skincare, or makeup to the waxed area for 24 hours. Introducing these can clog pores and lead to breakouts or infections.
  • Avoid Heat and Touching: Stay away from saunas, steam rooms, or direct heat (e.g., from hobs or ovens) for 24 hours. Avoid touching or scratching the area to minimize irritation.
  • Soothe the Skin: If needed, apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe vera to calm the skin after 24 hours.

Tinting

  • Avoid Water and Products: Keep your brows or lashes dry and free of makeup or skincare products for 24 hours to allow the tint to set properly.
  • Be Gentle: The more you scrub or wash your brows or lashes, the quicker the tint will fade. Use a gentle cleanser around the area once the initial 24 hours have passed.
  • No Heat Exposure: Avoid steam rooms, saunas, and hot showers for 24 hours, as heat can shorten the lifespan of the tint.
  • Protect Your Tint: Minimize exposure to strong sunlight and chlorine (e.g., from swimming pools), as these can fade the tint faster.

By following these simple steps, you’ll enjoy the best results from your waxing and tinting treatments. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch—I’m here to help!

Lash Lift Aftercare

To maintain the best results and keep your lashes looking flawless, follow these aftercare instructions carefully:

The First 24 Hours

  1. Keep Your Lashes Dry: Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. This includes:
    • Showering or bathing
    • Swimming or saunas
    • Facials or steam rooms
    • Sweating from exercise
  2. Avoid Makeup and Products: Do not apply any makeup, oils, or skincare products near your lashes during this time.
  3. No Rubbing or Touching: Be gentle with your lashes—avoid rubbing, pulling, or sleeping directly on them.

Ongoing Care

  1. Avoid Heat and Steam: Prolonged exposure to steam, saunas, or hot environments can weaken the lift over time.
  2. Skip Waterproof Mascara: Waterproof formulas can be harsh and difficult to remove, potentially causing damage. Stick to water-based mascaras if needed.
  3. Keep Lashes Clean: Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser to keep your lashes clean and free from residue.
  4. Be Gentle: Avoid rubbing your eyes or lashes when cleansing or removing makeup.

For Long-Lasting Results

  • Avoid lash curlers, as they can distort the shape of your lifted lashes.
  • Brush your lashes daily with a clean lash brush to keep them looking neat and separated.
  • If you’re using lash serums or conditioners, ensure they are compatible with lash lifts.

By following these steps, your lash lift can last up to 2-8 weeks, leaving you with beautifully enhanced lashes. If you have any questions or concerns about your aftercare, feel free to reach out—I’m here to help!

Your Healing Guide for Tattooed Brows

Welcome, gorgeous.

You’ve just stepped into your next-level self—brows that reflect who you truly are.
My job was to bring them to life. Your job? To protect them as they settle in and become part of you.

This isn’t just healing, it’s a ritual.

THE GOLDEN RULE

Keep your brows 100% DRY until every scab has naturally fallen off.
Not 7 days. Not 10. Not 14.
Until the scabs are completely gone.

Water, steam, sweat, even tiny splashes, can undo everything.
Showers, saunas, swimming, workouts = NO.
(Use your shield on hair wash days—I’ve given you one.)

What to Expect: The Healing Timeline

Day 1–3:
Your brows will appear darker, bolder, and more defined. Totally normal, this isn’t the final colour.

Day 4–10:
Dryness, scabbing, and flaking may start. Itching? Oh yes.
Whatever you do: don’t pick, rub, or scratch. Scabs protect your pigment. Let them fall naturally.

Week 2–3:
You might notice patchiness or fading, this is called “ghosting.” Don’t worry, pigment is doing its thing beneath the surface.

Week 4–6:
Your healed shape and colour begin to reveal themselves.

Week 6+:
You’ll return for your refinement session, where we assess retention and make any adjustments.

Remember: everyone heals differently. These time frames can vary.

The “Don’t Ruin Your Brows” List

To keep your pigment happy and intact, avoid:
Water, steam, or sweat on the brows until scabs are completely gone.
(Showers, saunas, facials, and gym sessions are off-limits.)
❌ Makeup, SPF, oils, or skincare on or near your brows.
❌ Sunbeds, sun exposure, or tanning.
❌ Picking, rubbing, or touching scabs (you’ll ruin the results).
❌ Sleeping on your face (train yourself to sleep on your back or use a travel pillow).
❌ Dirty pillowcases (switch them out for clean ones every 2–3 nights).

The “You’re a Brow Goddess” List

✅ Use your brow shield in the shower.
✅ Gently blot any excess lymph with a clean tissue on day one.
✅ Eat well, hydrate, and rest, your body’s healing system needs fuel.
✅ Wear a hat or stay out of the sun for at least 4 weeks.
✅ Avoid high-sugar, high-alcohol, or inflammatory foods, they affect healing.

What’s Next?

You’ll return around week 6 for your follow-up.
This isn’t a “fix”, it’s where we finesse and build on what we started.
If this was a colour boost, treat it exactly the same. Don’t cut corners.

Still Unsure?

Healing can feel weird. If something doesn’t seem right, reach out.
WhatsApp me: 07742 766955  I’ll always have your back.

Final Note from KerryM

Your new brows are an artwork, and you’re part of the masterpiece.
Treat them with love, patience, and a little discipline… and they’ll reward you every time you look in the mirror.

THE SACRED AFTERCARE GUIDE: SALINE REMOVAL WITH KERRYM

Welcome, gorgeous. You’ve just had a treatment with me to lift pigment using the powerful alchemy of Li-FT® saline removal. Now, it’s your turn to co-create the magic by following this aftercare to the letter. I don’t mean kinda. I don’t mean “ish.” I mean exactly.

Think of this as your healing bible. Yes, it’s a little scary—but that’s because your skin is sacred and this process is powerful. Mess with it, and things can go sideways fast: we’re talking infection, scarring, pigment stuck forever. Don’t be that person. Be the one who heals like a goddess.

SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL AFTERCARE – DRY HEALING METHOD

You’re not just healing—you’re partnering with your body’s own intelligence to lift pigment, prevent infection, and restore clarity to the skin.

This is DRY HEALING: no creams, no lotions, no cleansing products—just clean, untouched skin allowed to do its thing.

Yes, it’s going to look rough. Yes, you might question your life choices. But stay with me… this is the magic in motion.

THE FIRST 24 HOURS

* Do not touch or apply anything to the treated area.

* If lymph fluid appears (a clear weepy fluid), gently dab it with a clean paper towel—do NOT rub.

* Avoid sweating, hot environments, or direct sunlight.

* Do not wash the area. No water, no wipes, no skincare.

DAYS 2 TO 10 (OR UNTIL THE SCAB FALLS OFF NATURALLY)

* Leave the scab alone. Seriously—don’t touch it.

* No picking, scratching, or pulling at the skin.

* Avoid getting the area wet (no showers on the face, no steam).

* No makeup or skincare over the treated area.

* Let the body complete the healing cycle.

EXPECT THIS (IT’S NORMAL!)

* The area may darken before it lightens.

* You might look scabby, flaky, or uneven—this is good.

* Swelling or tenderness is possible and should subside within a few days.

* You may see pigment lightening immediately, or weeks later. Trust the process.

* Healing takes time—true pigment lightening can take 2–5 sessions.

* Your results depend on pigment depth, saturation, your skin type, and how well you follow this aftercare.

* You must wait 8 full weeks before another session.

* You may see continued pigment lifting over the next few months. This is totally normal.

DO NOT

* Do NOT apply creams, balms, oils, or ointments unless I’ve given you a specific product.

* Do NOT expose the area to direct sun or tanning beds.

* Do NOT engage in intense exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating.

NO TO ALL THE FUN STUFF:

*  No swimming

* No saunas or steam rooms

* No sunbeds or sunbathing

* No hot tubs

* No heavy sweating

* No gym sessions

* No long bubble baths

NO PICKING, SCRATCHING OR SCAB BOTHERING.

This part is HUGE. Scabs = healing. Let them do their thing. Picking them early can:

* Cause scarring

* Rip pigment back into the skin

* Invite infection

* Hands off. I mean it. Not even a little.

ONCE THE SCAB HAS FULLY FALLEN OFF

When every single scab has fallen off on its own—not encouraged, not rushed—then and only then do you begin healing oil.

Your Healing Oil: The Rebirth Blend
Apply one drop, 3–4x daily, for 4 weeks or until your next session.

This oil helps nourish the skin, support cellular repair, and allows the skin to fully close. It does not interrupt any pigment coming up—it supports the process like a good bestie should.

Do not begin the oil until the scabs are completely gone. Patience here = better results.

SIGNS TO WATCH FOR

If you notice:

* Green or yellow discharge

* Excessive redness, swelling, heat, or pain

* A foul smell

* Or anything that doesn’t feel right…

Contact me immediately. Don’t Google it. Don’t ignore it. Just message me:
WhatsApp: 07742 766955

BREAK THE RULES AND YOU BREAK THE MAGIC

If you don’t follow this aftercare:

* Your results may be poor

* Your healing could be compromised

* You could cause permanent skin damage

* And your next session may need to be delayed (at your cost)

You’ve invested in this beautiful transformation—honour your skin with care, respect, and patience. I’ll do the rest on your next visit.
