what is saline tattoo Removal
Saline tattoo removal is a natural, non-laser method used to lift unwanted pigment from the skin. I use a high-grade saline solution (called Li-FT®) that’s gently implanted into the area—yep, kind of like tattooing in reverse.
Here’s the magic:
The solution creates controlled trauma to open the skin and triggers a process called osmosis—which basically means your body pulls the pigment upward, forming a scab that carries the ink out as it heals.
It’s your body doing the work. I just start the process.
WHY CHOOSE SALINE OVER LASER?
Laser might sound like the obvious choice, but when it comes to cosmetic tattoos—especially brows—it’s not always your best bet. Here’s why saline removal (done right) can be the smarter, skin-loving option:
Saline pulls pigment UP and OUT through the skin’s surface during healing—laser breaks pigment down and pushes it deeper into the body to be flushed out through your lymphatic system (yep… pee, sweat, and, well, you get the idea).
Saline can be used to remove any pigment colour—including white, which laser often can’t detect at all.
It’s especially great for cosmetic tattoos (brows, lips, scalp, small body ink) where precision is key—you can target a small section, like just the tail of a brow.
There’s no risk of pigment oxidising and turning funky colours (laser can turn some pigments orange, grey, or blue).
It doesn’t damage or compromise hair follicles like laser can—so if you’ve still got brow hair, we want to keep it!
Works with most skin tones—though for Fitzpatrick 5–6, we proceed with extra care and a patch test, as there’s an increased risk of hyper- or hypopigmentation.
Can be used on some scarred skin, depending on the texture and history—but always assessed first with full honesty and transparency.
Think of laser like a bomb (boom, break, flush out).
Saline is more like a magnet (draw, lift, release).
Both have their place—but for brows, fine detail work, and pigment that laser can’t touch, saline is a game-changer.
What to Expect FROM SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL
Let’s keep it real.
Saline tattoo removal isn’t a magic wand. It’s a process—a powerful one—but it takes commitment, patience, and proper aftercare to get the results you want.
Whether we’re lifting brow tattoos, removing small body ink, or performing an emergency brow removal, here’s exactly what you need to know:
IT WILL GET UGLY BEFORE IT GETS BETTER
This is wound healing.
You’re going to scab. You’re going to flake. It might look dry, crusty, patchy, and downright rank for a while. This is normal. This is healing. This is your body doing what it’s designed to do.
If you’re after an “instant fix” or expect to walk out healed in a week, this isn’t the treatment for you.
IT’S A JOURNEY, NOT A ONE-OFF
How many sessions will you need? Honestly—I can’t tell you.
It depends on:
How deep the pigment was implanted
How saturated the area is
How your body heals and responds
Some people see a huge lift in one session. Others take several.
I won’t re-treat the area for at least 8 weeks, and sometimes longer. Your skin needs time to recover, and I honour that healing window.
OPTIONS I OFFER:
✨ Brow Tattoo Removal
This is for cosmetic brow tattoos only (microblading, ombré, machine brows). Whether it’s a shape you don’t love or pigment that’s gone wonky over time, I can help lift it safely over time.
You’ll come in for a consult and patch test first. If you’re ready to go, we can schedule the first session.
✨ Small Body Tattoo Removal
This is for small tattoos—think finger-sized or smaller. Perfect for names, symbols, or accidental ink you’ve outgrown.
Same process: consult first, then we plan the treatment.
🚨 Emergency Brow Tattoo Removal
Had your brows tattooed and HATE them? You’ve got a tiny window (within 48 hours) before the skin seals.
If you get to me in time, we can stop the pigment from locking in and prevent years of regret. After this emergency session, we wait at least 8 weeks before assessing and deciding if further removal is needed.
This process isn’t for everyone.
But if you’re ready to do it properly—with full honesty, expert guidance, and skin-first healing—you’re in the right place.
Am I a good CANDIDATE For Brow Tattooing

Saline Tattoo Removal – A True Healing Journey
This isn’t a quick fix. It’s a process—and a powerful one. Saline removal with Li-FT® is designed to lift out unwanted pigment through the skin’s natural healing process, one layer at a time. Whether it’s old brow tattoos, tiny body tattoos, or a recent mistake that needs urgent attention… I’ve got you.
But let’s be clear: this is a commitment.
Every removal is unique, and how your body responds is just as important as the treatment itself.
A Thoughtful, Two-Part (or Sometimes Three) Process
✔1st Appointment – Consultation & Patch Test (30–45 min)
This is where we begin. You’ll receive a full consultation, medical screening, and (if appropriate) a patch test. We’ll talk honestly about your existing pigment, skin history, healing patterns, and what’s possible. I’ll walk you through the process step-by-step, and you’ll leave knowing exactly what to expect.
✔2nd Appointment – The First Removal Session (Up to 1 hour)
This is your first official session. I’ll assess your pigment depth and skin, select the right tools and technique (manual or machine), and begin the removal process. The treatment itself is precise and intentional—my goal is to do the job with minimal trauma and maximum lift.
💷 Intro Offer: £50 per session (Regular price £85)
Includes aftercare guidance, healing product recommendations, and my support throughout your healing.
✔ Ongoing Sessions – Spaced 8+ Weeks Apart
Saline removal must be done slowly, safely, and respectfully. Your skin needs a minimum of 8 weeks between sessions—sometimes longer depending on your healing response.
How many sessions will you need? I wish I could give you a number—but I won’t lie to you. Every tattoo is different. Ink depth, colour, saturation, skin health, and your body’s own ability to push pigment out will all play a part. I’ll reassess at each stage and guide you honestly.
🛑 EMERGENCY REMOVALS
If you’ve just had your brows tattooed and you’re panicking—breathe. If it’s been less than 48 hours since the tattoo, I may be able to help with an emergency saline session to minimise long-term pigment retention.
You MUST contact me immediately. Timing is critical.
💷 Emergency sessions: £100

Frequently ASKED Questions
Every tattoo is different. It depends on how deep the pigment is, how saturated it is, the type of pigment used, how your skin heals, and your overall health. Some clients see noticeable fading after one session; others may need several spaced 8+ weeks apart. I’ll guide you at every stage with honesty.
Most clients say it’s uncomfortable but manageable. Some areas are more sensitive than others. I’ll always assess your needs and can apply a numbing agent if suitable—but sometimes, especially in emergency removals, we work without numbing to avoid sealing pigment back in.
Absolutely. Precision is key. If you only want to lighten or remove a section—like tails, arch, or faded body, I’ll tailor the session to your goals.
If it’s an emergency brow removal, I need to see you within 48 hours of the original tattoo to attempt pigment extraction. After this, we wait until the skin is fully healed (typically 8–12 weeks) before safely proceeding.
Saline lifts pigment up and out through the skin, while laser breaks it down and flushes it through your lymphatic system. Saline can also target all pigment colours, including white, and tends to be gentler on delicate areas like the face.
Yes, and you should plan for it. You’ll likely have redness, scabbing, and the area may not look its cutest for 1–2 weeks. Healing is a journey. The scabs must fall off naturally—no picking, sweating, or getting it wet until healed.
Not everyone is a candidate. Certain medical conditions, medications, or skin types (especially Fitzpatrick 5–6) require caution. You’ll need to review my Self-Assessment section above.
That can happen temporarily—this is a healing process, not a one-and-done treatment. The pigment is rising to the surface and being released. Trust your body and the plan. I’m here with you every step.
Yes—after your skin is fully healed, usually 8+ weeks post-final removal. We’ll assess your skin integrity and decide if it’s safe to proceed with a new brow design.
Both have their place. I’ll decide the best method based on your skin, pigment depth, and location. Machine removal often gives more consistent results for deeper or older work, while manual can be great for delicate correction work.
If aftercare is followed properly and your skin responds well, scarring is rare. However, there’s always a small risk with any tattoo removal, especially if the area has already been overworked or previously scarred. I’ll always treat your skin with the utmost care.
